1. Wolfe Island

Wolfe Island is only a three-hour drive from Montreal or Toronto, including the ferry ride from Kingston to the island. Flights to Kingston are also possible from one of these cities and take about an hour.

Wolfe Island is the largest of the Thousand Islands archipelago and is located at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River, which originates in Lake Ontario.

Visitors can stay in cottages, bed and breakfasts, inns, bed and breakfasts or hotels of the 19th century.

Wolfe Island is known for its outdoor activities such as golf, hunting, fishing, cycling and bird watching.

2. Niagara Falls

No need to be on a honeymoon to enjoy the romantic side of Niagara Falls. The city named after the famous falls is a seven-hour drive from Montreal. You can also get there by bus, train or by plane to the airport near Hamilton.

In addition to the spectacular waterfalls, you can enjoy a variety of dishes from a variety of restaurants, from family-friendly meals to top-of-the-range grill restaurants.

3. The Algonquin Park

This huge nature reserve is located in Ontario near Highway 60 and it takes about three hours by car to get there from Ottawa or six hours from Montreal.

There are several lodges offering luxury cabins and excellent restaurants inside the park.

During the day, you can hike on guided trails or canoe trips to admire ancient trees and majestic fauna composed of wolves, bears, and moose.

4. Churchill

This small town in Manitoba is one of the best places to watch the Northern Lights. You can get there by plane; most flights include a transfer from Winnipeg.

In addition to the Northern Lights, you can admire polar bears and belugas and take a buggy ride through the tundra.

Located on the western shore of Hudson Bay, the center of Churchill has many motels, bed and breakfasts, and inns.
